The VMs for Fusion are portable to/from VMware Workstation on other platforms. I've moved several into Fusion from my Windows and Linux systems, and I'm fairly sure going the other way would work too.
So, you guys mentioned Twitter and Pownce....but what about Plurk? It definitely offers a slightly different angle on the same idea.

Comment on Episode 31 - Top 10 Mac Applications by Chris Stewart

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I'll put my personal feelings towards each here. Matt will probably respond as he loves Coda.

1) Coda. While it's a nice looking application, it's just not interesting enough to me. Perhaps since I'm a developer by day and I'm used to tools like Visual Studio and Eclipse, Coda just feels like a fancy looking Frontpage application. For me, it's not worth $79, or the normal $99.

2) The Unarchiver. I had not seen this before. I use StuffIT Expander personally. Either one will serve my basic needs so I really can't see a reason to pick one over the other. If something like a unzip tool made it to my top 10 list of Mac applications, I'd feel like we were talking about Windows instead. We briefly got into that conversation towards the end of the episode.

3) MenuCalendarClock. I had not seen this app either. But $20 for the "advanced features" of a calendar in your menu? This would be in your top 10... really?

4) TinkerTool. I've heard of this before. It seems pretty cool but wouldn't make my top 10. I find the experience of OS X out of the box to be perfect for me. I can't say I'd change much, if anything.

5) VisualHub. Very cool application. I don't do much video work but if I did, I'm sure this would make my top 10.

6) Handbrake. You may be surprised but I've never used Handbrake. Ever. I certainly know about it but I'm not much for ripping DVDs. Matt on the other hand, well, yeah. :)
